Meet a Guy Who Got Fired and Then Built a $500K-a-Month Internet Business

John Crestani was lost. He sat on a beach in Thailand with no money and no purpose. He has dropped out of college and was surviving on a small loan his family gave him. He had come to Thailand to find himself, bringing along classic spiritual reading like the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita. However, it was Tim Ferris’ book “The 4-Hour Workweek” that changed his life. The book shows how to become your own boss by building an Internet business, and Crestani used it as inspiration to go from being fired to building a $500k-a-month business.

Passive Income Is the Key

The philosophy of Ferris’ book is that time is much more valuable than money. People need to stop trading their time for money when they can create businesses that require little time and generate passive income.

The concept sounded like music in Crestani’s ears. He knew that he had found the direction he was seeking when he had embarked on his adventure to Thailand. Using Ferris’ book as a guideline, Crestani was able to build an affiliate marketing business that provides him with an income of between $250,000 and $500,000 a month. It gives him the freedom to travel the world and follow his dreams.

While his business is thriving now and Crestani is living proof that the method Ferris details in “The 4-Hour Workweek” works, his success did not come overnight.

The first Internet business that Crestani tried was selling things on eBay. It was a success, providing him with a few thousand dollars a month in profits. Unfortunately, he was in violation of the PayPal user agreement because he was selling products that PayPal did not approve of. They closed his account and he was back to square one.

He next reenrolled in college and used his technological know-how to get the answers to all the test questions in the courses at his online university. He used them to ace his exams, but he also sold the answers to his fellow students. This was highly profitable, and he made $1,000 in 24 hours for the first time. However, his university caught the wind of what he was doing and suspended him.

Keep Moving Forward

Even though his first few ventures failed, Crestani never gave up. Once the idea that he didn’t need to trade time for money had been planted in Crestani’s mind, he was obsessed with realizing his goal. He would soon accomplish it by getting fired from his job.

When he was 22 years old, Crestani got a 9-to-5 job working for a marketing firm in Los Angeles. The firm created pay-to-click advertising for clients to place on Internet search engines. Crestani excelled at it and soon was running 20 client accounts. He was making loads of money for his employer, and he felt like he deserved a raise.

Crestani’s boss did not agree. He told him to get back to work and forget about the raise, and it enraged Crestani. From that point on, his work ethic dropped to zero and he was eventually fired.

The Cash Spigot Opens Up

While he stopped working hard for his boss, Crestani started hustling clients on the side to build up his own Internet marketing firm. He creates advertising campaigns for Internet sales of homeopathic products, and he teaches others to do the same. This has created a huge network of Internet marketers that all generate income for Crestani. He is now raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars a month and living his dream.

If you have the passion for following your dream like Crestani did, there is no telling where you can end up. He went from being penniless on a beach in Thailand to running an international marketing firm that makes him millions of dollars a year. The key is to be persistent. You may fail several times like Crestani did, but perseverance will eventually prevail and you will succeed.
