Principal Of North Miami Senior High School, Fired After Defending The Police Officer In Texas Pool Party Incident.
Alberto Iber, who used to be the principal of North Miami Senior High School, was fired from his job after commenting on a Miami Herald article about Texas pool party incident.
“He (Casebolt) did nothing wrong,” Iber wrote in the newspaper comment’s section on Facebook. “He was afraid for his life. I commend him for his actions.” (video below)
People left critical comments under his post, questioning why a cop with a gun was afraid for his life from unarmed teenagers.
Another commenter noticed that he was the principal of North Miami Senior High School, which is 99% minorities (mostly black), and mentioned how low the school’s rating is in every field of education, stating the principal was part of the problem.
He called the principal’s comment racist and ignorant, even saying how glad he is that his child is not in the same school where Iber is principal because he would have, “started a fire and removed him from the school as fast as I could. No police officer ever should pull out his gun on unarmed civilians in swimwear.”
Alberto Iber said, “I support law enforcement, and also the community and students that I serve as the proud principal of North Miami Senior High, the comment I posted was simply made as the result of a short video that I watched and my personal opinion.” He also insisted, “I regret that I posted the comment as it apparently became newsworthy and has apparently upset people, that was not my intention in any way.”
