This Homeless Man Life Changes After He Discovers His Forgotten Bank Account
John Helinski had the kind of life that most people would dread. He was homeless and living on the streets. A Polish immigrant raised in the United States, not only was he living under bridges and in cardboard boxes, but he had no driver’s license, state ID, birth certificate or any of the documentation necessary to obtain housing and employment.
A generous police officer and some members of the community decided to help Helinski by helping him to obtain his needed identification. During the process, something miraculous happened.

The volunteers discovered that Helinski had a forgotten bank account, where Social Security payments had been accumulating for years. The money provided ample support for Helinski to get housing and get back on his feet.
